The frontend does not match Zabbix database

The ‘The frontend does not match Zabbix database’ error happens when we login to Zabbix frontend after upgrade or clean install sometimes.

Case 1:

******In any case backup your database and Zabbix Web Directory as well before proceeding further.

If this is happening after Zabbix Upgrade over previous install then you may need to follow steps below:

Restart Zabbix Processes

a. service zabbix-server restart

b. service zabbix-proxy restart

c. service zabbix-agent restart

d. Clear browser cache or try opening in private/incognito window of browser

You also may upgrade below packages

apt-get install --only-upgrade zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php zabbix-agent

Case 2:

******In any case backup your database and Zabbix Web Directory as well before proceeding further.

If this is clean install then its safe to run below command.  In case this is old install then you may need to backup the database first so that you can restore data later if anything goes wrong.

Run below command as described above:

zcat /usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql-3.2.*/create.sql.gz | mysql -udb-username -pdb-password

Hope this will help
